The LibaMed Pledge
Eight commitments, built into how the platform works — what it allows, what it prevents, and what it discloses. Not marketing copy: product behaviour.
Only clinics we'd trust with our own families
Every partner passes four-stage accreditation — international certification, outcome-data transparency, a UK-standard complaints process, and clinical quality audit — before a single referral routes.
See our partner hospitalsEvery referral is clinician-led
No patient can create, edit, or submit a case. A verified doctor owns the referral from start to finish.
Protected to the stricter standard
Records are encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored under the stricter of both countries' rules — including HDS-certified EEA hosting for French data.
Read the security overviewNo platform fee on treatment referrals
When a patient is referred for treatment, LibaMed is paid by the receiving hospital, never by the patient or the referring clinician. We tell the patient what that fee is before they decide. Second opinions are a separate, fixed-price service: the patient pays a £300 coordination fee to LibaMed, stated in writing before anything is booked, and the review itself is paid directly to the reviewing board. LibaMed never holds patient money.
How second opinions workA seamless handback to UK care
A structured clinical summary reaches the referring clinician within 5 working days of treatment completing.
We listen when something goes wrong
A monitored channel to clinical governance. Concerns are logged, investigated, and answered.
Professional judgement is never for sale
No incentivised outcomes. Nothing on the platform rewards a clinician for referring — or for not referring.
The Pledge grows with us
As corridors are added, the Pledge is reviewed so every commitment still holds in every jurisdiction.
How we hold ourselves to it
A named Clinical Director owns clinical governance. Concerns raised through the platform route to a monitored governance channel, are logged with a reference, investigated, and answered. Partner hospitals are reviewed against the four accreditation criteria on a recurring cycle — and the Pledge itself is re-reviewed every time a new corridor opens.
