What you’ll need

  • Your GMC number
  • A professional email address
  • Your patient's informed consent
  • The clinical records worth sharing — letter, bloods, imaging

How your patient’s data is handled

Records are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), stored in the region the destination corridor requires — France on HDS-certified EEA infrastructure — and visible only to the named specialist and their direct team. Every view, download, and export is logged immutably, and your patient can withdraw consent at any time through you.

Referring safely, by design

Two things doctors ask us first: am I paid for this, and where does my patient’s data actually go? Both answers are built into the platform.

No referrer fee — ever

No commission, payment, or benefit of any kind accrues to you for making a referral. LibaMed is paid by the receiving hospital, never by referral volume — so the clinical decision stays clean, and it’s written into our partner contracts.

Questions doctors ask

How long does a referral take to create?
Minutes. The guided intake asks one question at a time and saves as you go — most clinicians complete it between patients.
Who sees the referral at the receiving hospital?
Only the named receiving specialist you selected, and their direct clinical team. Cases never land in a shared inbox.
What happens after treatment?
The receiving specialist returns a structured clinical summary — treatment given, outcome, medications, follow-up plan — within 5 working days of completion.
Can my patient withdraw consent mid-referral?
Yes, at any time, via you as the referring clinician. All further processing stops immediately and the withdrawal is logged immutably.
Where is my patient's data stored?
In the region required by the destination corridor, set automatically at intake. French cases are held on HDS-certified EEA infrastructure; every case shows its residency region.
How is the data protected?
AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access on a least-privilege basis, and an immutable audit log of every view, download, and export.
Is anything stored on my phone?
No. The app installs to your home screen, but patient data is never cached on the device — it always loads over an encrypted connection.
Can I get a full audit trail?
Yes. Every consent event, document access, and status change is recorded append-only and can be exported for independent review.
